The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation maintains, builds and facilitates knowledge and understanding around the work of Gonzalez-Torres. The Foundation strives to create a multi-pronged archive approach to cultivate a research environment which responds to the nature of experiencing Gonzalez-Torres’s work itself. The Foundation is the official body that fields all exhibition requests and maintains records of all individual works by Gonzalez-Torres, including records of each exhibition and the mutable manifestations of certain bodies of work. The Foundation continues the issuance and evolution of the Certificates of Authenticity and Ownership, provides guidance for installations and exhibitions, facilitates publications, licenses reproductions of the work, endows grant programs in Gonzalez-Torres’s name through other institutions, and supports scholarship at all levels.
Andrea Rosen has been the President of the Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation since its formation in 2002. Emilie Keldie has acted as Director of the Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation since 2014.
Formed in 2008, The Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation Fellows Forum is comprised of a group of distinguished individuals knowledgeable about the life and work of Felix Gonzalez-Torres. The purpose of the Fellows Forum is to support the mission of the Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation by fostering a diverse exchange on critical topics regarding the work of Felix Gonzalez-Torres.
